phew! it’s been a while! ohyesverynice studios has relocated to portland, oregon~for good this time! as we’ve been packing and unpacking everything, there hasn’t been much blogging for a while… hopefully this will change soon. here’s a sketchdump to catch you all up on what you’ve missed…
here are some newer contributions to the drawbridge blog. this one’s theme was conan o’brien:
irvin kershner (r.i.p.):

alpha flight:

jeggings:
and finally, here are the first two new portraits from my etsy shop. im trying to move some product for the holidays… boy are these portraits inexpensive! you should buy one right now!

i’ve been invited to be a contributor to the draw-bridge daily sketch blog, which is both a huge honor and a good way to get some more blogging done finally. here’s my first ever contribution~the theme of the day is, “skeletons.”

i haven’t done a sketchbook post in a long time because i havent been drawing in my sketchbook.

i’m trying to get better about that.

most of these are unrelated.

i hope i find a new project soon.
thanks for the mocca fest, everybody! we did better than expected and i got to meet a lot of nice teachers! maybe next year i won’t be having a big anxiety attack the whole time. when i got home i felt tired and overwhelmed but for some reason i couldn’t go to sleep before drawing one of the celestials.

maybe it’s a metaphor or something, or maybe i just like old crappy comics. the biggest score for me at the show was finding that issue of x-factor that mazzucchelli drew for only 3 bucks! what a deal!

i thought that whole, “get your portrait drawn on my blog” thing kinda petered out, but then all of a sudden i got 3 whole requests!

apologies if i made you look lousy~i drew these with a brush and made no corrections…
i’m not sure if the portrait offer has expired or not… is there anyone else who is dying to have their portrait drawn?

i think i’m getting somewhere…
