dave called me up and says he wants to make a raisin bread. he ran some ideas by me and then some friends and i had a brainstorm and now here is my first pass at possible little raisin guys for the label.

I am wrapping up the illustrations on a children’s book called, “Swifty’s Big Flight.” It is about a little vaux swift named Swifty who gets into some trouble in Portland, Oregon. It was written by Lee Jackson and should be out in September. it even has its very own blog!

i’ll post some pages and sketches and stuff real soon!

argh, i haven’t blogged in forever! there’s all this stuff going on! i have a bunch of announcements coming up real soon! yep, that’s right, there’s gonna be some real heavy duty blog material up in here before you know it.

also, i got to go on indie spinner rack, which was a big exciting honor. unfortunately, there are a lot of sound problems with the section i am on, so you should only listen to it if you are desperate to hear the sound of my high school nerd voice.

the pony club is having a show and they were nice enough to invite me to be a part of it! the theme is super heroes/ alter egos. these are my super heroes. each one is a little piece of me.

floating world comics is having a benefit for bill mantlo, the guy who wrote every issue of rom space knight. the guy who runs floating world was nice enough to ask me to be a part of this show, and he even loaned me one of his personal rom comics to use for reference.

oh man i haven’t blogged in a million years! i haven’t even been getting anything done, really. i’m totally ashamed and i hate my own guts. mostly i’m just planning for things, but also i went to new york. it looked like this:

that’s all i got done was one crappy drawing on a napkin that’s not even finished. suck!

also i’m laying out the rose city rollers comic and here is a page of it:

and i think the only other thing i got done is the television #1 ad for the comics journal.

but, really, i’m sorry i haven’t been around more. i don’t want you to think that i don’t care, i just have a lot of responsibilities outside of drawing pictures. no, i know, that’s no excuse. i promise i will try harder. i promise we will get through this. you and me, together.

here’s a pin-up i did for Poison the Cure #1, the latest book from my very favorite comics publisher, the new radio.

i got to pick which character from the book to draw, and charlie was the clear choice because he’s such an awesome design. i hope it’s not too obvious that i hadn’t drawn a gun since like 1992. anyway, buy this comic! it’s in comic stores now!

today i got some stuff done. here is a logo i did for my friends home-brewing operation.

and here is a copy i did from an old romance comic that came out pretty ok. it is a study for a story that’ll be in Television #2, so consider it the sneakiest sneak preview of all.

also, i’m working on a TOP SECRET PROJECT that i’m actually not allowed to blog about for legal reasons. isn’t that intriguing!??! i think i can show it once it’s done~i’ll keep y’all posted!
