i got a piece accepted by the covered blog, one of the coolest comics projects on the internet in which artists of all kinds do renditions of comics covers.
this was a lot of fun and everyone should try it! i think ill do another one sometime soon…

in other news, here’s a comic i drew for the upcoming robot themed issue of stumptown underground. it was written by my favorite sexy genius, katie rose leon.
ok so i wasnt sure when i was ever gonna get to finally say what i am working on but it looks like today is the day! i have been collaborating for some time with bill ayers on a graphic novel version of his well-loved text, to teach. it’s going to be really amazing! here is a panel from the proposal draft that says it all:
that’s not a great indication of what the final book will look like… really, there’s not a lot to show just yet as the script has only recently been completed and is going through some edits/revisions. i’m just starting up the pencils for the final book and i’ve been doing lots of character sketches:
so there you go, that’s what the big mystery has been all this time. that’s why i went to chicago and that’s why there have been so many drawings of classrooms and bill ayers on my blog for the past 6 months or so. oh, yes, and thats also why i had a forrest gumpesque cameo on bill o’reilly.
the book is scheduled for release in spring 2010. yikes! i’d better get back to work!!!
