i just got the final color pages for a 4-page back-up story i wrote and drew for joe keatinge’s image comics series, hell yeah!  i think it’s going to be in issue 9 or 10, later in the year.  the coloring was done by catherine peach, who did an amazing job!

speaking of trip city, i am working on a new comic that i’m going to serialize on there in april.  i’ll also do a limited edition print run of the whole 28-page story to sell at the stumptown comics fest at the end of april.  expect some preview images for that soon!

here’s a cover for action comics #1 i drew for the comix gone rogue blog’s variant cover project.

i’ve always thought that this guy in the corner of action comics #1 was really distracting.  he’s so upset!  i’d like to read a whole comic just about him.

it’s a new year and one thing i am gonna really push myself to do is start blogging again!  first up is a little plug for a project i contributed to over the summer, lois #2.  it’s a collection of short autobiographical stories written by lois gilbert.  it also includes a short story written by harvey pekar that i illustrated.

the other artist on lois #2 was gary dumm, and the cover was illustrated by dean haspiel!  you can purchase it here!  you can see more previews of the pages i drew in the comics section of this website, along with a bunch of other new stuff, as the whole thing was recently updated and now features work that is less than 4 years old.  feel free to poke around!

here’s a one page comic i made about wonder woman for the women of wonder charity event.  i actually wrote this a few years ago for fun but never finished drawing it.  i found it laying around and thought it was worth redoing, so here it is.

this wasn’t originally intended to be a reaction to the portrayal of women in dc’s new 52 books, but i kind of like that it reads like one.
